Biography:

V, the player-character in Cyberpunk 2077, is a customizable mercenary operating in Night City. Their background, or lifepath, can be tailored at the start of the game as Nomad, Streetkid, or Corpo, each providing a unique introduction to the setting and initial quests.

Regardless of the chosen lifepath, V becomes entangled with Jackie Welles, a fellow mercenary, and together they undertake increasingly dangerous jobs. A heist gone wrong leads V to acquire the Relic, a biochip containing the engram of the legendary rockerboy Johnny Silverhand.

Throughout the game, V grapples with Silverhand's presence in their mind as they fight to survive the effects of the Relic. The player's choices determine V's relationships with other characters, their ultimate fate, and the destiny of Night City.
